Be The Light: Boston Unites against Racism, a Candlelight Walk on Wednesday, Sept. 16th, 6pm starting at the municipal parking lot across from Dudley station. Our intention is for this walk to be a major community event involving all Boston-area residents who choose not to be bystanders but to act compassionately and courageously.

Feminist Fiber Art Exhibit Opening on Friday, September 18th, 6pm at Industry Lab in Cambridge. A DIY exhibit focusing on women artists and the versatile medium of fiber art. A portion of proceeds goes to the Cambridge Women’s Center. More info at feministfiberart.com.

Boston Solidarity with Syrian Refugees on Saturday, September 19th, 6pm to 8pm in Copley Square. Candlelight vigil and mass demonstration to resettle Syrian refugees in the U.S. All are welcome.

Massmouth Story Slam: “Starting Over” on Monday, September 21st, 7pm at Club Passim, 47 Palmer St., Cambridge. New beginnings? One more try? Back to the drawing board? We all have stories about “Starting Over”. Bring your 5-minute story and put your name in the hat. You may be one of 10 lucky story tellers chosen. Admission is $10.
