The worsening climate crisis is a symptom of an exploitative economic system that concentrates wealth and power and obstructs the changes needed for human health and ecological health. In response, a growing global climate justice movement is demanding transformative change and an economic paradigm shift toward a well-being economy. Collective action and global solidarity are inspiring hope, peace and justice.
 
• Jenny C. Stephens is a feminist climate justice scholar-activist. She is the Dean’s Professor of Sustainability Science and Policy at Northeastern University and a Radcliffe-Salata Climate Justice Fellow at Harvard University. Her collaborations focus on promoting climate justice and energy democracy while resisting climate obstruction and economic injustice.
