The outsourcing of US manufacturing and the mass of family wages forced white women to join their black sisters and work outside of the home as well as in it. Women refused an after work second shift of
domestic labor, emotional labor, the labor of connecting men with children, relatives and friends and sexual labor. Marriage is broken. Dating is transformed. US children are failing Outsourcing made America less able to rule the world with its manufacturing primacy. Thus, capitalist greed occasioned the fall of the American Empire and its dominant forms of personal life.

 Dr. Harriet Fraad produces the Podcast, Capitalism Hits Home with the help of Democracy At Work. Her articles, written work and interviews discuss the mutual shaping and transformations of American economic, political and personal life.
