{"id":1512,"date":"2015-01-31T19:01:44","date_gmt":"2015-02-01T02:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.communitychurchofboston.org\/home\/?p=1512"},"modified":"2015-01-31T19:01:44","modified_gmt":"2015-02-01T02:01:44","slug":"minutes-of-ccb-board-meeting-11515","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.communitychurchofboston.org\/home\/newsletter\/minutes-of-ccb-board-meeting-11515\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of  CCB Board Meeting, 1\/15\/15"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Minutes of CCB Board Meeting<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">January 15th, 2015<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Disruption Policy for CCB:<\/strong> The Disruptive Policy was presented in detail outlining, in part, the points of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153disruptive behavior of an individual in the Church building, at Church events or Church meetings held there or anywhere else, or in an electronic communication forum of the Church, which may cause members or visitors to voice concerns about 1) perceived threats to the safety of an adult or child, 2) the disruption of Church activities, and 3) the diminishment of the appeal of the Church to its potential and existing members. The board voted to accept a draft proposal of the four-page document by a vote of seven to nothing with one member voting \u00e2\u20ac\u0153present\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Building Concerns:<\/strong> The Church is working toward the final stages of obtaining an assembly permit for Lothrop Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financial Matters:<\/strong> The treasurer received in detail the financial statements of the Church relating to expenses and income during years 2013-2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Committee:<\/strong> Thirteen out of twenty-two program dates have been confirmed. Four women and four people of color will be amongst the designated speakers.<br \/>\nThe board voted by consensus to present the annual Sacco-Vanzetti Award for Social Justice to Kathy Kelly who is an expert on Middle Eastern Affairs and possesses a keen knowledge of events in Iraq and Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Various Concerns:<\/strong> The CCB annual meeting will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 11:00am, preceded by a morning brunch.
