{"id":1420,"date":"2014-12-03T15:37:14","date_gmt":"2014-12-03T22:37:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.communitychurchofboston.org\/home\/?p=1420"},"modified":"2014-12-03T15:38:49","modified_gmt":"2014-12-03T22:38:49","slug":"board-meeting-minutes-november-20th-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.communitychurchofboston.org\/home\/newsletter\/board-meeting-minutes-november-20th-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Board Meeting Minutes: November 20th, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Community Church of Boston Board Meeting Minutes: November 20th, 2014<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Personnel Concerns:<\/strong> Details of the evaluation and\u00c2\u00a0updating of the letter of hire of the office manager\u00c2\u00a0were discussed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Building Committee:<\/strong> The office manager efficiently\u00c2\u00a0organized the tenants meeting and reviewed matters\u00c2\u00a0related to the Church building. Each group must fill\u00c2\u00a0out a check list before leaving the building; this\u00c2\u00a0applies to both tenants and one-night renters. There\u00c2\u00a0was also discussion about installing a camera in the<br \/>\ndownstairs vestibule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financial Report:<\/strong> The treasurer reviewed the current\u00c2\u00a0financial statement and reported on the financial status\u00c2\u00a0of the Church.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Committee:<\/strong> Facilitators are needed to lead\u00c2\u00a0the Sunday programs. More people of background\u00c2\u00a0diversity will be speaking on Sunday mornings next<br \/>\nyear. The annual Sacco-Vanzetti\u00c2\u00a0Award will be presented\u00c2\u00a0to Tina Ch\u00c3\u00a9ry on December 14th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Various Concerns:<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0A newly formed search committee\u00c2\u00a0will initiate an inquiry and write up a job\u00c2\u00a0description for the position of ministerial candidate.\u00c2\u00a0The Church should obtain some outside input from\u00c2\u00a0those in a spiritual environment, i.e. an advisor or\u00c2\u00a0consultant with the Unitarian-Universalist\u00c2\u00a0Association. Dean Stevens, Dian Lerman, Dick\u00c2\u00a0Crowley, and Ruediger Volk have agreed to serve on\u00c2\u00a0the committee.
