Mary will perform an original composition inspired by Italian anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.meetup.com\/sojust-tm\/events\/206108242\/\">Speaking Peace: An Introduction to Nonviolent Communication<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>on Monday, November 3rd at 6pm at Third Sector New England, 89 South St., Suite 700. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a way of communicating that strengthens our ability to stay in touch with our humanity and get our needs met, even under difficult circumstances. Instead of habitual responses, our words become conscious responses based on a clear awareness of what we are observing, feeling, and wanting. We are led to express ourselves with honesty and clarity, while paying respectful and empathic attention to others. Protest<\/strong><\/a> on Wednesday, November 5th at 4:30pm at 1 Washington Mall in Boston. In its continuing attack on postal workers and on the public service, the U.S. Postal Service has cut a deal with Staples to provide postal services at Staples stores.\u00c2\u00a0 Postal jobs must be maintained as good, living wage jobs. It is time for all Postal Workers to stand up and demand that the USPS stop its plan to privatize our Postal Service and its attack on unionized workers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/277332842461621\/\"><strong>First Friday Youth Open Mic Featuring Saul Williams<\/strong><\/a> on Friday, November 7th at the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain at 7pm, 633 Centre St. Saul Williams is considered the greatest slam poet of his generation. He is known for his blend of poetry and alternative hip hop, and for his lead role in the 1998 film Slam.
